SmackDown vs Raw: July 25 & 26

Raw:

Intro:

The flagship show of the WWE opened up with the commissioner Stephanie McMahon and the General Manager Mick Foley with his enormous beard, along with the entire RAW roster on the stage. Speaking of the stage what is it? Really it has like 30 arcs on the top then the regular default stage, it’s all like a weird combination. Anyways, with the entire roster on the stage the dynamic duo would talk about the disappointing and embarrassing night for RAW at Battleground where even when the RAW side had about 60% chance of winning Dean Ambrose for SmackDown pulled out the win. Stephanie however pointed out the wrongs of Roman Reigns instead of Seth Rollins as she would say that Rollins had the win but Roman Reigns would be “selfish” and pull him out. Now with the World Title on her brother’s show Mick Foley would take to the mic and announce the creation of the WWE Universal Championship, with the match for the title taking place at Summerslam. How would they do this you ask? Well, there would be two fatal four way matches one with Kevin Owens vs Finn Balor vs Rusev vs Cesaro and the other with Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn vs Sheamus vs Chris Jericho, the winner of each would square off in the main event, with the winner facing Seth Rollins at Summerslam for the title. Why did Seth Rollins get an automatic #1 Contender’s Spot, because he’s badass that’s why. They also would schedule one of the biggest matches of the night Sasha Banks vs Charlotte for the Women’s Title. It was going to be a fun night for everybody involved.

Main Concept for the Night:

Now as for the fatal four ways each match was perfect the wrestling was there, the characters were there, and the crowd reaction was there. Finn Balor would hit his Balor event was set Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns but before that we had to have some action.

Tag Division:

As for the tag division we had Enzo Amore and Big Cass come out to do their little “You Can’t Teach That” and “SAWWWWWWWWWWWWWFT!” stuff, before a tag team came out that couldn’t help but to make you jump into your pants like a little Japanese girl, The Shining Stars. A little squash match would happen with Enzo and Cass coming out on top. For the New Day a celebration would happen for their achievement of the longest title reign with the WWE Tag Team Champions, but it would soon be put to rest as the Club would come out and take the victory. A feud that should’ve happened a long time ago is now coming to life.

Women’s Division:

The Women’s division had a wild party tonight with the debut of Nia Jax coming in the form of a squash match that made her look like a damn monster, don’t you love the beating of human beings till their eyes are melting puddles of tears? But the highlight of the night had to be Sasha Banks, the Boss fought her way through the end when she finally hit the Banks Statement on Charlotte to claim the gold. Yes, it finally goddamn happened you really deserve it Sasha!

Other:

As for any other moments you could count the highlight of Braun Strowman’s amazing haircut but aside from that the only thing left was Neville’s return against Curtis Axel, Neville hasn’t changed a bit besides a little facial hair, he could wrestle like he always did and it’s gratifying to see that Red Arrow again, I love it.

Main Event:

Now its main event time and after 20 minutes of wrestling Finn Balor finally came out on top, now all left is the match at Summerslam Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins.

Final Thoughts:

I would give Raw a solid 9/10 for its new and invigorating style to go along with all of the amazing wrestling. But a little too much squash matches in my opinion for tonight.

SmackDown:

Intro:

Much like Raw, the combination of the General Manager Daniel Bryan and Commissioner Shane McMahon were out in the squared circle, however the roster would instead be circling the ring this time, so to begin the show the two would announce that everybody in the ring besides the Women would get a shot at the WWE Champion Dean Ambrose. Dean Ambrose would enter the ring feeling like a damn king being on top of the world holding the damn title, however his opponent for Summerslam would be chosen that same night. They would do this by announcing a Six Man Pack match for the main event. Who would participate in this match of course the only people they have which would be John Cena, AJ Styles, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, and Bray Wyatt. These five people were automatically entered into the match, as to make it “fair” for the rest of the roster, the remainder would partake in a battle royal with the winner going to the main event as the sixth person.

Main Concept for the Night:

In the battle royal you would have your regular mid carders like the Vaudevillians, Hype Bros, Kane, and Apollo Crews. The last two in the match would be Kane and Apollo Crews and as predictable as it would be from there it was exciting as Apollo Crews would come out on top advancing to the end of the night.

Tag Division:

Sorry Mates, we only have two hours don’t worry your American Alpha are debuting next week, Happy Merry October!

Women’s Division:

Tonight was the welcoming party the Women as many of them were either coming from NXT or returning from absence. So what would happen was a rematch from Battleground where Becky Lynch would face Natalya, but unlike Battleground Becky Lynch would come out on top. This would result in a short little interview in the ring with Becky Lynch, where she would rant about a new Becky Lynch until some dubstep would hit and we would see the Bliss, Alexa Bliss. She would go not to talk about her time is coming, then Naomi would come talk about rookies needing to move aside and let the veterans come to shine. Then we would get a spelling lesson, what does F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S, yes it spells the princess of Staten island Carmella. Alas, Eva Marie would come out and only if Jerry Lawyer or Corey Graves were on commentary what a show would happen. You would expect her to say something right, and she did right, no all she did was undress and flaunt her body at the crowd. Wrestling Ladies and Gentleman.

Other:

Everybody loves them some Viper in Viperville don’t they well everybody got a dose of venom as Randy Orton would be a guest on Miz TV, doesn’t Orton love talk shows. He would proceed to talk about some random stuff until a RKO would start a match between the two, doesn’t Orton hate talk show hosts.

Main Event:

Here we are having a 6 man pack match to determine the number one contender for Dean Ambrose's WWE World Champion (Yes That's What They Are Calling It) at Summerslam. The match would be John Cena vs AJ vs Bray Wyatt vs Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler vs Apollo Crews. Favorites to win the match were basically everybody there was storyline for every single person. John Cena would've had his regular veteran vs newcomer storyline, AJ Styles would use his phenomenal background as a person who worked all over the world against Dean Ambrose's nonchalant styles, Bray Wyatt would try to use his mystical force to corrupt Dean's already maniacal mind, Baron Corbin being a lone wolf would use his size and attitude to act as a towering heel making Dean the underdog, and Dolph Ziggler could've used his "Never Getting Over With the Authority" style against Dean being a favorite. Anything WWE went with would've been perfectly fine so what happened? John Cena would AA Bray Wyatt who would then roll out of the ring, AJ Styles would do a surprise Phenomenal Forearm and Dolph Ziggler would come out of nowhere for a Superkick to Styles and the rest is history.

Final Thoughts:

While not as good as Raw, SmackDown was able to use their limited starpower to create something out of nothing. It put up one helluva show building storylines and creating a stable show that would want us to come back again. Because admit it we would come back anyway.
