NXT August 10th

We Go Hard Brooklyn!

What a Show This Was for NXT Brooklyn, it had so many announcements that helped advance the show from the already impressive card it had so far.

If we were to describe the entire show in one word it would be GLORIOUS!

Summary of Show:

First Scene:

Bobby Roode is Happy

We would start off the night with Bobby Roode and William Regal coming out of the King's office ending an earlier conversation they had which evidently made Roode feel excited.

Second Scene:

Bayley vs Asuka Contract Signing

We would cut to the ring where Regal would be set and ready for the contract signing for the NXT Women's Championship Match at Takeover with Bayley and Asuka. Each woman would do their entrance but I have to say I'm disappointed in Bayley. I mean Asuka was so professional she came out in heels and a suit while Bayley came out in what I would assume her regular clothes, very unprofessional SHAME! Anyways, they would cut their promos say a few words and have a stare down for the ages. I would have to note however, Bayley wasn't in this scene. This wasn't the Bayley that got her over with the crowd, Bayley would always be ready and willing for a challenge and she always did it with a smile. In the contract signing Bayley talked like her life was on the line, if she didn't win her career was over, we saw a side of Bayley that showed there was no nonsense with her attitude she was serious and this was a nice way to introduce it. Asuka was the killer like always stalking her prey and putting the devious smile on.

First Match:

The Authors of Pain vs Rob Ryzin and Adrian Nails

The Authors of Pain would be the dominant heel tag team as always with their new prey being Rob Ryzin and Adrian Nails and it was basically a regular squash match. NXT is really pushing the fact that the Authors of Pain was able to run over American Alpha which isn't really a bad thing but they really need some new heat now that American Alpha is on the main roster. Well what do you know, here comes TM61 trying to save the group however they would end up getting crushed as well. What a damn team!

Winner: The Authors of Pain

Second Match:

Andrade "Cien" Almas vs. Angelo Dawkins

Andrade "Cien" Almas without a doubt is going to play a massive role in the future of NXT, I know it, he has everything. Cien has the look, the wrestling, and we haven't seen him on the mic but do you really need that in NXT? Anyways Almas would dominate most of the match against Dawkins bouncing around the ring a lot showing off his moves, and basically elevating his character. Almas would come out on top with a new finisher, usually the knees to the face at the turnbuckle would finish his matches but now its this technical mastermind move. Anyways, it is what happened after the match that had everyone talking.

Winner: Andrade "Cien" Almas

Third Scene:

Perfect Cien vs Glorious

Yea Cien You Do Your Thing You're Boss Man Keep It Going We Love You. Wait what is that a piano. GLORIOUS!!! Cien Who? THIS MAN IS GLORIOUS RIGHT HERE LOOK AT HIS BEARD ITS GLORIOUS LOOK AT HIS SUIT ITS GLORIOUS LOOK AT HIS WALK ITS... GLORIOUS! Yes the crowd at Full Sail erupted when they heard the music of Bobby Roode play, and remember earlier when Bobby Roode had that backstage segment with William Regal, it was to set up this match. Bobby Roode was very fond of Cien saying he specifically choose Almas to face him at Takeover. Cien didn't get any mic time but he was good enough in the ring to make an impact.

*Speaking of Perfect Cien where is the Perfect Ten, where is Tye Dillinger?

Third Match:

Liv Morgan vs. Billie Kay

Now with Bayley on the way out most likely after Takeover, it's time to build some new women on the roster especially after the landscape was murdered after the draft with the likes of Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss being called up. Now who is going to be the rival for Asuka after Bayley? Say hello, to Billie Kay the who was a jobber on SmackDown, and is using that as a feat of her's. The kayfabe story for her is basically that after being on SmackDown all of the success went to her head and is now full jerk. Almost like Nia Jax on the main roster, Billie Kay is basically having some squash matches to elevate her character, with this week's victim being Liv Morgan. Kay ended the match with her finisher the big boot.

Winner: Billie Kay

Fourth Match:

Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa vs. Patrick Clark and Tucker Knight

After a damn fine match on CWC between JG and TC (Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa) and the invention of the Glorious Bomb the team is riding on some pretty good momentum as of now, and they carried this into their match, which by the way was amazing. Even for such a little match like this the dynamic duo of JG and TC was amazing so props for them for such a performance.

Winner: Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa

Main Event:

Samoa Joe vs Mojo Rawley

Let's get this out of the way Mojo Rawley is amazing when it comes to playing a character. He did an amazing job taking the hype character and going with it, now he's taking a serious and brute character who is finished being Mr. Nice Guy which is amazing. However, Samoa Joe would take the win with the Kokina Clutch but like Cien's match the story is told after the match.

Winner: Samoa Joe

Fourth Scene:

I Got Your Nose!

After the match like a regular heel, more damage would be implemented to their opponent with Samoa Joe putting the Kokina Clutch one more time and not letting ago until a violin played. Once that happened Samoa Joe would break the hold, but the security guards would come to seperate the two, with Samoa Joe visibly enraged to the point of him having a red face. Shinsuke Nakamura was still chill but he decided to have some fun, for some reason there were no guards on the King of Strong Style so Shinsuke would take Samoa Joe's nose and give him a good slap. That would end the night ladies and gentlemen.
